I have changed the virtual memory of my system to 4GB. It was 2GB and it's 4GB now. I was expecting an increased performance but I didn't get that anyway. The performance of my core system is quite the same and so is the case with multimedia applications. Will there be a performance uplift if I increase the VM more?

I really don't know what's wrong with my PC. The frame rate of my PC decreases at once or it crashes sometimes with a buzzing sound from the sound system. Due to this, I'm unable to listen to music while working. FPS crashes also when I play simple games like Mario. What may be the cause of this problem? How can I fix this?

I'm not talking about the Windows OS refresh feature. I'm talking about using my own refreshing procedure. I'm planning to remove all the unnecessary applications including everything those applications might have. I need to clear everything from registration entries to settings. What are the things to take care of while doing so? 

We changed the position of our PC yesterday while we were managing our room. The PC worked fine in the old room but it reboots itself these days. A sound is produced inside the casing but I don't know what's that. Is it the power supply which is causing this? How to fix this problem?

I ran a virus scanner and it found some infections. I removed all the viruses as recommended by the antivirus. After the scan, I checked my C: along Windows folder. There's a strange folder named WinXS. What's that? It has some items which have meaningless name. For example, incrypt.dll, codename-911. What's the meaning?

I have found a Web Cam which was misplaced few years back. Right now, I have a laptop to use Skype but I need to use Skype on my desktop too. However, I'm unable to find out the right driver for my webcam. It is  a webcam by LG but i don't know what to do next.

I have heard that the physical memory of a PC can be increased by using a USB drive. There are many discussions on the Internet regarding this topic but the ideas listed there won't work. Is there really a way to increase the memory of a PC using a USB drive?

I run my PC on Windows 7 and I often change the settings of my PC. 

' Do you want to change the settings?' click on OK.

' Do you want to change the settings?' click on Apply.

So, what is the difference between OK and Apply on any version of Windows though they have similar function?
