Questions with no accepted solutions

Hello,

as we all know in Red Hat Fedora there is up to date icon and we can check for updates

what about kernel updates?

i know it installs the new kernel so that u can choose from the grub with kernel to choose

i tried this up to date and installed the latest kernel

but when i boot into the new kernel the sound doesn't work

when i click on the volume icon, mesagge appears that there is no sound device etc.

and when i click on the details of the errors it says .. check if the kernel has sound support …

can anyone tell me the exact steps to enable sound support in the kernel updates i get?

Thanks,

Hi,

I have an EMP-20 programmer.

I was going to upgrade my computer and had a question.

Currently my programmer plugs into the printer port of my computer.

The computer I am wanting to work off of does not have this port.

If I buy an adapter like this

Will that work? Will I need to possibly re-assign my port or something in the programmer's menu?

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've got a question.  How would you define Apple script in Xcode 3.1.2? Is one making an app with Cocoa? Is it called Applescript Studio or Cocoa Applescript? Please help me as soon as possible. Thanks in advanced. Regards, Gaffy Jen

Hi all, I'm a newbie here. I'm taking classes for IT and a question came up, that I was wondering if you could help me with?

The question is, is Apple mostly object oriented in its programming?

Thanks in advance for any and all answers!

Hello,

More and more lately, I find myself using = "" instead of IsEmpty. For example, instead of writing
IsEmpty ( Acct::FirstName )
I write
Acct::FirstName = ""
because it's easier and faster to do that. Is there really a difference I should be concerned about?

Adam Gilcrist.

I have the default Windows Defender enabled on my machine. I have installed the TightVNC to do remotely view my other PC’s.

TightVNC is an application that I use every day and am not sure how to get it out of the Windows defender’s list.

And every time I reboot my machine I have this pop up. I already tried to remove it once and still it keeps coming back with the same pop up the next time I reboot the machine.

Is there a real infection in the TightVNC? Or is there a kind of vulnerability that Windows defender is picking it up as unwanted software?

Hi,

I am new to Project. I have two questions.

1. My company has Microsoft  SharePoint site, do I need Project? Can SharePoint do the same job as Project does?

2. What does Project server do? I thought Project was like Word or Excel, it's individual program. But it seems like it is client-server based program like Outlook with Exchange. Do I have to buy server license if the individuals do not have to collaborate?

Need help!

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

I am totally new to BizTalk server. Now we are trying with basics of BizTalk 2006. We have installed and Configured BizTalk server 2006 at our development server. We have some simple questions.

1) To program with BizTalk and Visual Studio.NET IDE do we need to install the another version(developer) of BizTalk to all of the client PC's?
2) Installing some adapters to Client PC's will give us the power to design, develop BizTalk applications with existing 2005 IDE?

Please reply,
Thanks.
