Error 0xc000007b on Accessing System Restore

System Restore has ceased functioning on my laptop with  Windows Vista OS.

Every time I run System Restore on my laptop, the system keeps on displaying “ERROR 0xc000007b: Each attempt to access System Restore on Windows Vista laptop fails with Error 0xc000007b.

Previous restore points lost.”

Can anyone tell me what this means?

I’m asking you to help me with this since I’m not pretty really familiar in using laptops and computers.

Hello,

To solve this problem repair your operating system or restore operation system with a previous working date. Do system restore in safe mode, if unable to do this do it in normal mode

In Normal Mode:

1. Click Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore > pick a different time > Next >

2. Click restore

Restore System in Safe Mode:

1. Boot your computer with Safe Mode by pressing F8

2. Log on it with Administrator account

3. Then you can notice a dialogue box showing System restore option

4. Then select a date in which date your system were worked well

5. Click restore

Try this it will work.

Hello Justine,

It looks like you have a virus or some sort of Malware on the computer. If you have already tried system restore and still have issues, the other option you might want to try is re-installing the operating system all over again.

This would likely save you many hours of frustration as well as headache.

Regards,

Nicke
