I am a student and frankly speaking, I cannot afford the payment that the computer technician had asked me to, to rectify the problem that my Toshiba laptop is experiencing at the moment. Here is what  happened to my laptop. I installed a 500GB external hard disk into it.

When the installation was finished, the command manager asked me to restart it for the new installed hardware to take effect. During the booting process, the blue screen appeared with the message that there is a hardware error occurred. I immediately used the recovery disk that I have to recover the original settings of my laptop but the same error in hardware had been occurring.

Some days back I have installed Windows 7 on my computer. Before that I had Windows XP on it. After installing Windows 7, I made sure everything, including my wireless network works fine with it. But after some days I found that my computer was not able to connect to my router. It is able to connect to all the other unsecured networks and to say I am a good time user of the computer, but not too technically sound in troubleshooting it.

So could anyone provide me a solution please?

Last night, I had my Wii online and unexpectedly this error code appeared, “Error Code 5330. ”

I had done various research and followed the instructions that they had provided. I found out that once the WEP is turned on, the Wii displays this type of error message.

And so, I adjusted the broadcasting channel of the Linksys wireless router that I have, into Channel 3 for faster download and accessibility speed. The router is now broadcasting in the mixed mode. Afterwards, I turned off the router and then refreshed it and immediately, the internet connection resumed.

It was doing fine for about fifteen minutes but the same error occurred.

What should be done now? Help me. Thank you.

I had a very great time playing my favorite games on my PC when this error code stopped me “Unable to initialize DirectX drivers. It is most probably caused by a video or DirectX drivers which are outdated or not installed properly or insufficient video card capabilities.

Please note that the game requires #D-accelerated video card with 8 MB or more video RAM and properly installed video drivers (most recent version) and DirectX 8.0 or higher to launch. ” My Lenovo G460 laptop has NVIDIA GeForce 310M 512 MB graphics, 500 GB HDD Storage, 4 GB DDR3 memory and Core i5-520m processor.

Is there a problem with my computer specifications? Or is it the application drivers that caused the problem? I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I bought a new PC for my son a week ago. Everything was running very great until last night when my son opened it to do some research, the following error messages appeared on the screen telling:

“Windows detected a hard disk problem. Back up your files immediately to prevent information loss and then contact the computer manufacturer to determine if you need to repair or replace the disk. ”

I understood and realized that the problem is in the hard disk as described by the error code but I’m just wondering why it happened as early as this time considering that the PC was newly purchased. The hard disk model is: Seagate ST3200827AS ATA device.

My computer does not detect my Creative Subwoofer Speakers.  It has no disk since you can plug it and play with your computer. I attached the cords properly according to the instructions. I searched on the Device Manager to check if my sound controller are configured and properly installed. The driver for Realtek High Definition Audio is installed. It is one of those software that is pre loaded when I bought my computer. But every time I am playing an .MP3 or a video with audio, an error is appearing, it says:

"No Audio Output Device is installed".

I hope that each & everyone here is absolutely fine and willing to help/support each other. Well, I am here to ask question about an issue which I am facing for several hours. The issue is my ISP E-mail no longer works as far as receiving emails is concern. I can send the e-mail to addresses fine but when I open my browser (thunderbird), it starts to check my email and then I receive this message “An error occurred with the POP3 mail server. Mail server regionline.fi responded” And after this just the button of OK appears along with dialog box. This really is very strange problem/case which I am facing. I can think of no reason now for this issue and it is now the 20th hour of this problem’s existence.

 I have recently installed a Netgear router onto my Windows 98 Acer laptop. One day after, while I was so busy playing my favorite online game, this disgusting error had appeared on the computer screen saying “Windows Protection Error.

System Halted” and it required me to restart my computer. 

Of course, I didn’t think of restarting my laptop just because of the error until I realized that it already gave me an irritating situation. 

Is this concern somewhat related with virus protection and the Netgear router that I had installed? Currently, I am using McAfee Antivirus Plus and it does not detect any virus on my computer.

How can I fix it? I would really appreciate a little help. Thank you so much.

When I connect the External Hard Drive to my computer, it says "Unrecognized USB Device". Sometimes, I also get errors like, "the USB Device is not recognized". But by disconnecting it and re-connecting, it solves the problem.

I don’t feel that this would be possible to me all the time, spending time by unplugging and reconnecting, to make it function properly. So here, I am really looking for someone, who can help me out with a solution for this problem.

I received this error message after I have installed the Windows 98 from MS-DOS “Packed File Corrupt.” In the middle of the installation process after the scandisk, the installation set-up started copying the files to the hard drive but it was blocked by the error message. The set-up forced the process to go back to MS-DOS prompt.
