I am having a headache with this 550 or 530 FTP error, which I have not encountered before and which I am not familiar with.

I am using Dreamweaver and my machine is  XP. I have checked all of my input settings and as far as I know, all are correct even the proxy settings etc. I even get to Edit and preferences. The value of my FTP time-out field is 60. In the end, I am still having an issue connecting.

I am tired of this issue already and I think it’s better to reach out to the experts. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I use HP computer with a Windows Vista Premium operating system. 

The system prompted a screen HP updates and what I did was I clicked the Update button and after a few minutes the screen popped-up an error message:

HP Update

Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update.

Update has been cancelled. (9998)

My home computer running on Vista was attacked by a Win 7 anti-virus2011. I was done scanning my system when I realized that my system is already messed up. It showed a lot of programs infected and I feel helpless. Sadly, when I tried to connect to the internet to check possible solutions, I cannot. Is it possible that it hit my LAN as well? I want to be sure that my file can stay secured as I do not have a back up. As much as possible I do not want to reformat, so if there is anything I can do to remove this virus, please advise.

It's my first time to enroll a class of CISCO subject. Yesterday was actually my first day in school and the first task that the professor given to us is to calculate and to set up IP address and subnet mask in networking concept. Before I go to school i need to know the facts about networking specially IP address and sub netting. Do you have some idea and knowledge about networking?

I work as secretary in a government institution and have lots of clerical work to be done within the day. This problem occurs just yesterday when I used the MS WORD 2007. When i started to hit the key on the keyboard, the letters on the MS WORD is not functioning and it's says an error link as what you have seen below:

This modification is not allowed because the selection is locked.

Is there a way that I can monitor user’s computer activity and send it to my email? I suspect that my younger brother is visiting dangerous and inappropriate sites. I’m afraid that it may risk the computer security and vulnerable to threats such as viruses, worms and Malware.

I also want to limit or block the website that he can visit. I want to monitor the user’s activity remotely without being discovered. Can some give me clear instruction on how to do this if possible?

I am having problems with my laptop's keyboard. My laptop is a Compaq Presario running a Windows XP Home Edition.

My problem is, whenever I typed something whether on the address bar of my browser or type anything on MS- Word or Excel, there is nothing on my screen except the cursor that keeps blinking as if it was waiting for me to type something. 

I tried cleaning by brushing gently the sides of my keyboard thinking that there is just some dirt blocking beneath the keys and making it hard to type anything on the screen. But it didn't work. 

I purchased a Toshiba Store Art 3 1TB External Hard Drive to secure all the important data’s  and backups on my notebook. 

It can connect to any Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer via a USB 2.0 port.

The unit is practically plugged and play. My computer detected my external hard drive the first time I plug this to my computer. While I was backing up all the important data’s on my pc, it went into hibernation because the battery is too low.

I could not easily turn my laptop on again so I have to wait for few minutes.

While I am trying to install a new Operating System, I got some error on my BIOS.  I got the installation disk of Windows Vista from our school. But this is a legal version. I run the disk few times but always stopped on the setup screen. I searched the net for some solutions and found out that I need to change the IDE to AHCI something, then I save and exit the changes on my BIOS.  Upon restarting, the BIOS hang immediately after I open my computer. There is nothing on my screen except for a No Signal Error. I try resetting the BIOS, it works fine again.  So I continued the installation without having any problems or error. But once I shut the computer down, I will need to try resetting BIOS again in order to make it work.

I am trying to install Microsoft Office 2000 to my Windows7, but I am having this error 1402.

It appears during the installation and I could not finish installing because of this.

I temporarily disable my antivirus and firewall thinking that it is blocking the installation process, but it’s not. I checked for any Microsoft Updates then manually install it. After restarting my computer for the changes to take effect, I still cannot continue.

I run the Disk Clean Up and clean the temporary files, but I really have no luck.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit OS with Pentium Dual Core T4200@ 2GHz, 2 GB RAM, Display Adapter: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
