I have few word files received from my boss which has some templates and have macros in the word and I need to enable macros and lower the security. So I can have the macros executed and do the specific tasks it needs to do

Generally, a message bar is prompted when a document with macros is opened, you can click on “Enable Content” to allow macros. Else, follow the following steps to enable Macros at Backstage view.

1. Navigate to File > Info > Security Warning Tab, Click Enable Content.

2. Under “Enable All Content”, check “Always enable this document’s active content” to make the file a trusted document.

You can lower the security of Macros by navigating to Tools Menu > Macro sub-menu, Select Security.

Select the desired level of security under Security Level Tab. Then Click OK. It is recommended not to set the security level “Low” to enable protection from viruses.
