Windows XP SP2 – Software counterfeiting error

Hi Matthew,

This is a notification which shows that Microsoft believes that your copy of windows is pirated and to prove you have the original windows you need to enter your registration code. But if your problem persists than your Data.dat file might be corrupted. To fix it go to C:Documents and SettingsAll Users%ALLUSERSPROFILE%Application DataWindows Genuine Advantagedata folder. When you find the data.dat file remove that file from there and after the next validation it should be updated correctly.
