Error while installing windows update – windowsupdate_8007371b windowsupdate_dt000

I get this error message when I install new window updates, i.e., windowsupdate_8007371b windowsupdate_dt000. I am unable to install new updates. I have tried to download the Windows Update once again, but it is of no use. What should I do? I use Windows 8.

Try these steps.

  1. Open start and type services.msc. Click on services.msc and click continue if prompted for a confirmation.
  2. Double click on Background Intelligent Transfer Service.

When the Startup status stops click Start and then OK.

  1. Double Click on Workstation.
  2. When the Startup status list stops again click Start and then OK.
  3. Now you have to close the Services window and try to install the updates again.
