Hi, I’m using server 2008 trail version. Only ten days trail period is left for me so is there any way to extend trail. Please help me in the extension of Windows Server 2008 r2 evaluation. Thanks in advance.
There is a 120 day initial trail period, but you can extend the period to 240 days in 4 intervals 60 days each. Automatically reset the evaluation for every 60 days by using task scheduler. Open Task Scheduler under administrative privileges. Click here and then copy the code provided there to the server.
Save it as sampletask.xml file. Change the “UserID” tag to your domain and your alias as (<UserId>domain\alias</UserId>). Now click Import Task on the Action menu. Click the sample task .xml file (copied file) then Import. Click the Triggers tab then select One Time trigger to edit. Change the start date as the date just before the end of your present evaluation period. Click OK, exit the Task Scheduler.
