I am having an issue logging in with Windows Live Messenger and Internet Explorer. I always get an error "Don't send report error". The signature of the error is stating "App name: msnmsgr.exe , mod name: mshtml.dll". I sent a report but still hadn't received any feedbacks yet. How can I fix it?

The error “App name: msnmsgr.exe, mod name: mshtml.dll” is because of the following:

1. The mshtml.dll file is already corrupted or missing from your system.

2. The version of the file that you are using could be old or wrong.

3. The system may be infected by virus.

4. The Windows registry is already corrupted.

To have this issue fix, you may try the following:

1. Check the .dll file in system 32 folder of your Windows Operating System either from the system drive or by running “windows auto-file” search. In case the .dll file is indeed missing, please uninstall and re-install the new Internet Explorer.

2. Download the “PC Health Advisor” utility to detect any system error and have them fix automatically for scanning, detecting, and removing any malware on your system which can damage your system’s registry resulting in the mshtml.dll error message.

Hi there,

It seems you are having trouble with Windows live messenger or internet Explorer.

There are 2 causes for this : –

1. dll corrupt, download and replace it from https://www.dll-files.com/mshtml.dll.html

2. Huge loads of Malwares and or Viruses are Playing with your system. You must be very careful while using External devices to install Softwares and other stuffs and also while using the network.

It's really horrible and tough to fight with viruses and only a PC expert geek could do remove SOME of the common viruses.

Better install a GOOD Antivirus and or Internet security.

I personally Recommends Kaspersky Internet Security 2012. It works great. It catches almost all the viruses and also very smooth to operate. What problem kaspersky has till its 2011 versions was slow updates. Now they have solved the problem.

Go try downloading the trial version and try it for 30 days and if and only if you liked to then buy the license for 1 year.
