I know Windows 7 was a great hit, not convinced it was what it purported to be, its upgrade is being marketed, what about the traffic for Windows 7? Windows 7 large outgoing traffic? What is this about, does anyone know?

I believe that is a good question and I can be able to answer you wisely. Windows 7 truly outgoes the traffic by having a very strong firewall for the windows, so there is no traffic that can come from outside to affect the system because the protection is strong. This is how you will do to enable the connections;
Go to control panel.
Click on administrative tools.
Click on Windows Firewall with advanced Security.
Click on properties.
Select private profile tab.
The Windows will block outgoing traffic.
