What is best method to make osx lion compression jpegs

Hello,

I experienced that osx lion compression jpeg files have little size reduction. Instead of right click to compression can I use another method compress jpegs with more size reduction? Thank you.

What is best method to make osx lion compression jpegs

Uuse Preview to do this. Just open the file in Preview, and choose 'Export' from the File menu. If you select 'JPEG' from the Format drop down in the Save As window, you get a popup that lets you set a target size for the file and set the image quality. Otherwise,  download a drag and drop app like 'Smallimage' which you can set up to reduce the size to lets say 600×400 pixels. Have a look on Versiontracker or Macupdate, lots of free apps that are ready to help out to be found.
