Which is the best free PDF Reader?

Adove is the King of PDF. Foxit, on the other hand, is also popular. Which is the best PDF reader that's available for free? I don't want to spend any bucks but I want the Reader to be free and safe to use. Also I want the free PDF Reader to have all the features and functions available on the paid ones.

Which is the best free PDF Reader?

You need a PDF reader to read PDFs. There are many PDF readers, but some best and free PDF readers are:

 

Adobe Reader

Foxit Reader

Sumatra PDF

Nitro PDF reader

 

When we compare both (Adobe and Foxit) it's difficult to highlight the differences because both have the same function. 

 

Foxit is a small software with file size 15.0 MB while Adobe size is 135MB. Which is too big. 

Foxit uses only 9.76MB memory. It prevents your computer from hanging.

 

Most people prefer Adobe Reader and it is on top according to users. 

 

Both are available for free, you can easily download it from official website of Adobe and Foxit, free of cost

Both PDF readers are good. With Adobe Reader, the latest version no longer supports Windows XP and Windows Vista and this is the same with Foxit Reader, they also dropped support for Windows XP and Windows Vista. For me, the only advantage you get with Foxit Reader over Adobe Reader is the plug-in for Microsoft Office applications. Adobe Reader doesn’t include a plug-in for Microsoft Office applications.

This is handy when you need to save your Microsoft Office Word document into PDF format. This removes the need to convert the file to PDF because you can save your document in PDF format directly in Microsoft Office Word using the plug-in. Foxit Reader includes Microsoft Office plug-in for Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel. This feature is not available in Adobe Reader.

Though Adobe Reader no longer supports Windows XP and Windows Vista, you can still download the versions for these platforms on the Adobe website while with Foxit Reader they only provide the latest version. To download the latest Adobe Reader, go to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. For older operating systems like Windows XP and Windows Vista, click the link “Do you have a different language or operating system?”
