Whenever I open Internet Explorer I get a ‘website cannot be shown’ message.
Right before this started happening, my malware application had recognized malware.
What could be causing this problem?
I’ve examined the configurations in IE and it set to the appropriate homepage.

There is one of the problem mention below so trying these one would remove the error:
1. The website which you are looking may be temporarily offline. To check this you can check another websites,like www.google.com if these sites are working than your website is offline .
2. Run the network diagnostic tool to identify trouble to do sa,Start Internet Explorer, and then try to access the webpage that displays the error message,Click iP address and then note the IP Address. You may have to know this for future troubleshooting and Follow the steps in the Network Diagnostics tool to fix any connection problems.
3. It may be possible that there is error on Your modem. so reset your modem. To do so Disconnect the cable that connects the computer to the modem or to the route Disconnect the cable that connects the computer to the modem or to the route,Turn off the modem or the router and reconnect it. then restart your computer
4. It may be possible that there is some problem in your browser cookies and session as well so for that,In IE On the Tools menu, click Internet options Under Browsing history, click Delete .Start Internet Explorer, and then try to access the webpage.
5 It may be possible error occur due to some add ons,so remove all add ons. for that In IE On the Tools menu,
click Internet options, then click Manage Add-ons. Click an add-on in the Name list, click Disable, and then click OK.
