I got a brand new computer with Lotus Notes installed, however, not yet setting up. What should I do to set up the Lotus Notes? And from which source I could set up the Lotus Notes that I won’t have to enter the new instant messaging?

Hi Betty,

Setting up you Lotus Notes depends on what type/version you will be using. But I’m giving you a general procedure to configure your Lotus Notes Client:

Upon opening the Lotus Notes, a pop up window will appear, this would be the start of the “Lotus Notes Client Configuration Wizard”. Click “Next” on the Welcome page. You need to provide your ID for “Exchange Connector” and also the home/mail Domino server so as you could proceed to connect to a Domino server using LAN. For the next step, you need to select TCP/IP and provide the server address by typing the hostname/IP address of the Domino server.  If you are asked if User ID is to be copied to your data directory, select “Yes”. On the next step, just unselect the checkbox for the setup instant messaging. Just continue clicking next until you arrived in the message that Notes setup is complete

On the lower-right corner of Notes client, make sure the location is “Office”.

I hope this helps.
