I’m new to the game “Fallout 76” and I’m still finding my way around. I know players can build a C.A.M.P. or a temporary house or shelter but how do you do this? And what does “C.A.M.P.” stands for because it looks like an abbreviation. What will happen to my C.A.M.P. when I log out?

What Is C.A.M.P. In Fallout 76?

In the game “Fallout 76”, the term “C.A.M.P.” stands for “Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform”. You can start building your C.A.M.P. in the world once you leave Vault 76. Now, to place your C.A.M.P., you need to find an area with a flat ground so the foundations can be placed easier. To find a good spot to place your C.A.M.P., in placement mode the ground will turn “green”.

When the ground is “green” or turns “green”, it means you can put your C.A.M.P. down. If the color of the ground is “red”, it means that spot is not good for building the C.A.M.P. and you need to find another location.

If your target area to build your C.A.M.P. has rocks, small trees, and other small objects, they will be removed when you start building the structures of your C.A.M.P. like the Foundations. When you log out of the game, your C.A.M.P. will disappear from the world and when you move to another server, your C.A.M.P. will move with you.

When you log into the new server, your C.A.M.P. will appear at the same spot where you build it unless that spot is no longer available like if another player built his C.A.M.P. nearby. If this happens, your C.A.M.P. will be stored and you can place it somewhere else for free.

When you log into the game, you will receive a notification if your existing C.A.M.P. location is occupied by someone else. Note: your C.A.M.P. is not an item you can pick up. If you want to move to another location, you can move it by opening your “Pip-Boy” and selecting “Move”.
