Hello

I need to know one thing. What is the difference between domain controller and ADS? Or are they the same? If you can point me to the right direction (links, BOLs, etc) I would be very much grateful.

Hi¼

ADS is the acronym for Automated Deployment Service in which it is used to perform quickly image, deploy and domain controllers on the large scale.
Active Directory can also be called as the directory service in which it can stores the objects like Computers and Users.
A domain controller is that in which the server is running the Active Directory and you can able to have any multiple domain controllers for many of the reasons like the redundancy (duplicates) so there is a chance in failing of one server and people can still able to login in and gain access to the things like joined computers and also another domain controller where the first server is to be being fixed.

Thank you..:-)
