Hi, I am currently learning Networking and I learned about cables. I got a question – What are the types of twisted pair cable? Can anyone help me with the answer?
There are following types of twisted pair cable –
1 – Shielded twisted pair cables – In shielded twisted pair cables, there is an outer covering that protects the twisted copper wires. The outer shield can be made only of aluminium, or it can be made up with one layer of aluminum and another layer of tinned copper over it.
2 – Unshielded twisted pair – In this type of cable, the copper wires are simply twisted together without any outer covering.
