We would like some help in using our shared mailbox address. We use Lotus Notes 6.0. We have our personal email address and a shared mailbox. However, when we try to forward an email from our shared mailbox, it is showing that it is from our personal email address and not from our shared mailbox address.

This type of problem may occur for different reasons. Mainly because Lotus Notes 6.0 uses the live or current user only as sender. Creating changes often impossible here in standard mail templates. If you want to forward messages, you can use another ID file which is also user friendly and nice way. Other than this, you can customize mail form with visible principle fields. Just change values there.

The type of message you mentioned it is showing is for overwriting the values of another code. Otherwise it should accept your shared mailbox address. Somebody others may have sent mail from your mailbox and it is only done when in mail database the fields are used. Try to resolve those matters. Hope your problem then be solved.
