I have successfully installed a printer, and I was getting prints normally, but now I am getting an error that we couldn’t print because there doesn’t seem to be a printer installed. I don’t have a clue, what to do?

Such kind of printing problem appears when you have enabled ‘Bidirectional support.’ To repair such problem, follow the steps:

> Start menu >then, Control Panel > then go to Hardware and Sound > and Devices and Printers.

>Click on the printer and choose ‘Printer Properties.’

>Release ‘Ports’ tab.

>Put out of action the choice saying ‘Enable bidirectional support.’

I think your problem is solved.

If that’s the case, you need to troubleshoot your printer and its connection. If you were able to successfully print with the printer and it is working fine before, check that the USB cable is connected properly to the USB port. Start the program you normally use to print then try printing. If this doesn’t work, try transferring the USB cable to another USB port then try again.

Use all available USB ports if your computer still can’t detect your printer. If this doesn’t help either, try to uninstall and reinstall the printer software. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your printer software among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, make sure the printer’s USB cable is connected to the computer then install the printer software back. After this, try doing a test print first. Consult your printer’s manual how to do a test print.

If you can’t do a test print then there is probably something wrong with the USB cable. Try replacing the USB cable and try again.
