Hi there,

I just installed Vision Assistant 8.6 and I have this error. This is not the first error that appears but I would like to know if the program supports image acquisition from my smart camera. Does anyone knows if it supports image acquisition ? How can I find this ?

Thank you !

Travis,

Vision Assistant v 8.6 does support smart cameras. It seems that there is an issue when you want to use them.

  1. Do this to avoid the error messages and be able to use your camera: Open Vision Assistant.ini in a text editor (notepad). Find the file in the following directory: National InstrumentsVision Assistant 8.6
  2. Locate the line [Smart Camera Targets] toward the bottom of the file. If you do not see this line, then add it at the bottom.
  3. Add the following text just below [Smart Camera Targets]
Passwords=""
IPAddress= x.x.x.x

Replace x.x.x.x with your Smart Camera's IP address.
