Hi, i get the above error image

Hello, my Dell XPS M1530 laptop was using Windows Vista but I changed the Windows to Windows 7.

The window 7 functioned well for a period. my  USB mouse functioning normally for a day or so but when  I plugged in a memory stick, all the USB ports stopped responding, and Windows is unable to recognize any USB device still now.

I think this may be a problem about out-of-date drivers, I have downloaded all the important drivers, and I am following the procedure to install them. i installed Notebook System Software, but I still receiving an error while trying to install the program. It says that "Error 1327. Invalid Drive: G:"

 I don’t understand this error.

Kindly assist

Hey Chase!

There is a possibility of out dated drivers. As you have already mentioned above that you are receiving the same error while installing the program. Well you do not have to worry about this problem. What you need to do is just to follow these steps:

1. Click on the start button.

2. In the "Search" field, type CMD and hit enter.

3. After that open the CMD as Administrator by right clicking on it and selecting "Run as Administrator".

4. Once the Command Prompt is open, type "subset G: C:" (Without inverted commas)

5. After typing this, hit enter.

Your problem is solved now. You can easily install the program that was giving you error before.

Thanks

Click on START button, type in CMD.  You will now see the command prompt icon. Right click the icon and choose run as administrator. Now in the command prompt type in subset G: C: and press enter. Install your mouse driver again. I hope this helps.

I followed your solution SexyB0y.

Aside from it, I checked the device manager and found out that my driver is outdated.

I installed the newest compatible driver and it is now working.

Thanks
