I was running a heavy software in my Office, and suddenly everything stopped and displayed the smc.exe application error message what should I do, is there any virus entered please help me.
It is a common error in windows there are several ways to get out of this smc.exe application error
1)Use the online tool for clean up the laptop; it will look for the error and resolve it.
2)Look for the settings in ms Config You can find it in the start button then run and type ms config.
3)Look for the path where exe file is installed and scan it.
That error on the “smc.exe” file can be anything. I mean, it can point to any application that has the “smc.exe” executable. This file can refer to Symantec Management Client (smc.exe) or it can also refer to the “smc.exe” program that is a component of Sygate Secure Enterprise that implements firewall protection. If you have any of these two applications, simply try restarting your computer.
If the error is just a fluke, it should run normally again after restarting the system. The Symantec Management Client (smc.exe), on the other hand, is a component of Symantec Endpoint Protection or SEP. The error can happen if you’ve upgraded to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU5. This happens because the Symantec Management Client (smc.exe) is no longer listed in Windows Services.
If you have any of these two applications and the problem continues, try reinstalling the affected application.
