My children were using my laptop yesterday and I found a new problem. It seems some settings have changed in my Firefox browser. The problem is when I am trying to go down with the down arrow of my keyboard, it goes starlight to the bottom of the page and when I press up arrow it shows a cursor as if i am writing something on notepad.
Please help me to reset the settings to normal.
Scrolling problem while navigating in firefox browser
Hi,
Mozilla Firefox has been affected by this kind of problem for some time – one can not scroll down with mouse wheel though the page is fully loaded.
Mozilla Firefox is a good internet browser but its sometime has difficulty with decoding HTML code. One way to solve this, just uninstall Firefox and then restart your computer. Then reinstall Firefox. It will stop these kind of problems for a while.
Another option is to switch your browser. No other browser creates this kind of problem. Or try updating your Firefox software with its newer versions. It will repair Firefox.

May be your children press the f7 key which turns the caret browsing on.
In computer language “caret navigation” is a type of keyboard navigation where a caret or you can call it "text cursor", "text insertion cursor", or "text selection cursor") which is used to navigate within a text document. It is a feature for apps that deal with text, for example text editors, word processors and desktop publishing programs.
A shortcut key of f7 is use to activate and dative the caret browser.
I am sure this will solve your problem.
