Running Both Ubuntu and Windows?

I am wanting to load Ubuntu on my Windows machine. Can I divide the hard drive equally between the two? Is it possible to chose the one I want to use at start up? Will this cause a problem having Linux on a Windows machine? Will this upset Windows by having Linux on there?

Hi Edith J Tucker

NO the windows won't mind if you do that. That is the end user product. You will have all the right to do want you want. Because you buy it, also you can divide it by way of partition or just add another hard for you Ubuto. With its own OS so at start-up you can choose where to log in. but you can still choose both the hard drive at the some time.
