Hi experts

When I was trying to install software, I saw an error message Regedit disabled, you have no Admin rights.

However only I login as admin.

Moreover when I start command prompt, I saw the same error and then automatically the system reset. Please help me to solve this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Alison,

I am a computer programmer and hardware support staff in the LGU I worked for. Part of my job is to make sure all computer units are functioning properly. I have experienced this error a couple of times already and was able to find a solution without reformatting the computer unit.

Most often than not, this error is caused by a computer virus. It disables regEdit, command prompt, and other exe in your computer. Try to use a registry removal tool. I have downloaded software and it worked for me. The software is RRT

RRT v6.8.0.0 – Sergiwa Antiviral Toolkit – Security – Downloads : Sergiwa

You can find the instructions on how to use it on their website.

I hope it helps you.

You might also try enabling it by following these simple steps:

1) hit Win+R

2) type gpedit.msc in the box and hit enter

3) go to User Configuration tab

4) then to Administrative Templates

5) then System

6) the Prevent Access to Registry Editing Tools

7) make sure it is DISABLED.

I hope this helps.
