I am having problems with my iPhone 3GS.

I upgraded it, and I am not aware that I needed to make a back up before continuing with the upgrade.

All my contacts have been erased.

Can I still recover my contacts?

If so, how can I do that?

Many thanks.

When having the process of upgrading your iPhone 3GS. It was accidentally delete your contacts from your iPhone 3GS but it’s not totally deleted. Every time you connect your iPhone 3GS to your computer, the application itself like iTunes automatically synchronize your data from your phone and stored on it and it creates a backup point. This process allows you to restore/retrieve the data/contacts to your iPhone. Here the possible way to get back the lost contact.

Step 1

Open iTunes on your computer by clicking first the Windows START button and look for the iTunes icon and double click on it. If you have an iTunes icon on your desktop and do the same way.

Step 2

Connect your iPhone into your computer by using the USB cable.

Step 3

Right-click on "iPhone" on the left hand side of the iTunes window under the "Devices" column.

Step 4

Now select "Restore From Backup" and choose the backup version to which you want to restore the iPhone from the list in the drop down menu.

Step 5

Wait for the restore process until it’s complete and detach the iPhone from iTunes. Click the "Eject" icon located beside the device and unplug it from your computer.

Step 5

Now scroll to your contacts on your iPhone 3GS and try to locate the previously deleted contacts.

I highly recommended that make certain separate backup once in awhile to iTunes or any apps like MS Outlook that will automatically occurs every time you make synchronize in iTunes.
