IOS 5 Update Not Showing on iPhone4

I have a query regarding iPhone4. When I plugged the iPhone to my PC, the iTunes will automatically open. But the iOS 5 update is not showing. The tendency is, I cannot make an upgrade using my iPhone4.  I tried to plug in then unplugged the device more than once but the notification to update is still not showing. How can I resolve it? Is there a way that I can manually update it? Thanks in advance.

IOS 5 Update Not Showing on iPhone4

Hi,

 

To be able to upgrade your iPhone 4 to iOS 5 using iTunes, you first need to have your iTunes upgraded to version 10.5 for the iOS 5 update to be available. To update iTunes, open iTunes, click on Help the click on Check for Updates. This will contact Apple's servers and inform you that iTunes 10.5 is available. Just click on Download iTunes and let it update. After it's done, open iTunes again and it should give you the prompt for iOS 5. Otherwise, just plug your iPhone 4 in, click on it from iTunes, then click on update. This should update your smartphone.
