Hi, I tried to install Virtual Server 2005 on Windows XP service pack 3, but it says:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEsoftwareClassesMsxml2.DOMDocument.4.0CLSID
Error 1402 Could not open key. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key.
I looked up in the registry and I have a full control in the registry. Have you ever experienced the same problem?
Any answer will be highly appreciated,
Thank you.
Problem with installing Virtual Server 2005
Hello there. Yes I have faced the exact same problem just like you once. Well the main problem about this is probably a bug. You should try cleaning up your whole system using a good quality licensed anti-virus software. If that does not work with you then try rebooting your whole system using your windows cd but do not defragmet the drives. Just re-install the windows XP files in the C drive. Now if you find the problem is still there,I will strongly suggest you that you install the windows service pack 2 in your system. Because the windows sertvice pack 2 is far better and supports certain programs better than the windows service pack 3.
Good luck.
