Problem copying music files from the frostwire Media Player

I am copying music files using Frostwire 4.20.1 but when copying the music files from its media player, I was unable to copy a new folder in my music list.

I always end up with an error stating "Error copying File or Folder: Cannot copy file: The name you specified is not valid or too long. Specify a different file name."

However, the error is only appearing when using version 4.20.1 but when using older version such as 4.18.6, everything works correctly. How can I fix it?

Maybe the new version of Frostwire you have does not support long file names or it supports a much lesser length in file names that’s why you receive that error.

I also experience that before when I am editing the ID3 tag of an MP3 file using Winamp. Windows XP allows the length of characters I used in the file name but Winamp does not accept it that’s why I decided to cut the file name short.

Since we both encountered the same problem with file names, why not try to shorten the length of the file name in 1 of your files. I’m sure this will fix your problem.

You may also try uninstalling Frostwire 4.20.1 and then install it back. This will fix any corrupted files in the installation that might be causing this problem.
