Hi! I have printer Brother DCP-330C , 2 weeks ago it started to show error "Unable to unit.51", I didn't use printer for those 2 weeks, but when I started it didn't work showing the same error. I reinstalled the drivers, disassembled the printer, checked is had paper jam (didn't have), ink, everything is good, I have no idea what is the issue.

If you already checked everything from the cable, ink, paper, up to the printer itself and you didn’t find any problem, try to manual reset your printer. First, unplug the printer from the AC outlet. Next, press and hold the Set button on the printer and then plug the printer to the AC outlet.

The LCD on the printer should display “Machine Error 46”. Press on the arrow up button. It should display numbers. From the selection, select 8 then press Set. Press on the arrow up button again, select zero [0], and then press Set. After this, you will enter Service Mode. Press the Mono button 25 times or until you see “Purge Counter” on the LCD.

Press the arrow up button, select 2, and then press Set. Press the arrow up button again, select 7, and then press Set. Press the arrow up button, select 8, and then press Set. Press the arrow up button, select 3, and then press Set. After this the purge counter will be reset to zero.

Press Stop/Exit button. Here, the printer will again display “Machine Error 46” on the LCD. In this case, execute this step twice: press arrow up, select 9, and then press Set. On the second time, the printer will reset and then wait until it powers up again. This manual reset method can be used on all Brother printer models.
