Roland SC-545EX printing solid yellow lines during printing and on test print.

Every morning, I power on our Roland SC-545EX printer to print a test page as a part of our maintenance so that in the whole day as customers arrived we already known the condition of the printer.

But just this morning when I print the test page, it prints a yellow solid line from the beginning of the tarpaulin up to the last line of the print.

Please help.

Your printer head is grounded.

Probably in this case, the yellow head firing ink from the beginning, the affected printer head the yellow only.

So you must do the fixed just in your yellow printer head.

Here’s the guide to fix it.

  1. Turn – off your printer and remove all cables connecting to the power supply to make it sure that there is no current or power flowing in the machine.
  2. Open the covering in your head panel then look for the yellow head. You will see a white flex cable connected into the head. Remove/unplug the cable and grab a piece of erase to be use for cleaning terminals.
  3. Erase or wipe the cable terminals with your erase until it looks like a shining gold bar,
  4. Put back the cable and print.

If the error persists, do the same at the other end of the cable.

Just follow the root where the cable was connected.

And do the same cleaning method for the cable.
