To click on button of printing, received the following picture of dialogue of error;

The handle is invalid

Notepad

The handle is invalid

Why did this happen this way? What was the motive? Please explain with key words.

Hello Zachery,

Handle is generally a term used for denoting a variable in the programming contexts. Hence similarly in Windows it might be a n Object or a Device attached. Try doing the following changes and it should probably work.

  • If you have 2 or more printers attached to your system, remove one and try to print it. Perhaps notepad is not able to resolve which Printer is it suppose to use.
  • If the above trick does not work, there must be some problem in the updates of your printer. Uninstall the updates of your Printer in the control Panel and try reinstalling it after downloading a fresh copy from the product website.
  • This is a vague method but proven to work. Open a file in our Notepad and go to the Windowsinf. Open the sysoc.inf file and remove the word hidden from every place of the file and save it. you can remove hidden by using the Replace All option.
