Hi Experts,
I have bought an Asus K52N model laptop. I got it installed with Windows 7 as its operating system. Recently I reinstalled the operating system with Windows 7 (32bit). Installing windows 7, I installed the hardware drivers from the DVD which came with this Laptop.
When I turn on the web cam, it shows a rotated view. Then I reinstalled its driver. But no luck. It’s a very peculiar problem I am getting with my built-in webcam of my laptop. I searched on many Internet forums, but not convinced.
Please help me guys. Thank you

PC cam view rotated, how to make this normal?
Usually Asus installs their webcams upside down and correct the video feed with the driver. Thus, to correct this problem you could try installing the latest driver found in the Asus website.
If this doesn't work, you could try the easy way out and use a virtual camera program to manually flip the video feed each time. ManyCam is one such program.
On the other hand, if you wish to get down and dirty, you could try the following steps:
-
Download the latest web-cam driver from Asus website.
-
Unzip everything.
-
Locate the snp2ucv.inf file
-
Open it using notepad
-
Locate this line:Â HKR,DefaultSettings,Flip,0x00010001,0
-
Change the last 0 to 1
-
Locate this line:Â HKR,Settings,Flip,0x00010001,0
-
Change the last 0 to 1
-
Save the file.
-
Uninstall current web-cam driver from Device Manager.
-
Reinstall the web-cam driver from Device Manager.
-
Ensure that you search for the driver manually and select the folder that you were just editing.
-
Reboot and your webcam should be correctly orientated.

Hi,
Your camera is not compatible with your Windows. Try to look for it here and see the compatibility's of your camera.
If it's not compatible with your Windows, try to download a backup device.
You can see here different downloadable programs you can use to fix your camera.
And also check for updates on the manufacturer site or see it here ASUS UPDATES
Hope it helps.
