Packed desktop applications from Google

Google is going to launch new packaged desktop applications for windows, mac, linux and chrome os. I want to know when exactly this will be available for download and what all software they are going to include in this.

Packed desktop applications from Google

Hello Maxine,

Google will be launching new packaged applications that will not need to be used via the browser, but will be able to work offline by default, and as well make it possible for richer and more immersive experiences.

The packaged apps are expected to deliver an experience which is of the same capability as the experience offered by a native application. Just like web apps, these packaged apps have been written using the HTML5, JavaScript, as well as CSS programming languages. The only difference is that the packaged applications look and also behave like the native apps, and they have got capabilities that resemble those of the native app which are much more powerful as compared to those available to web apps.
