Hey, if you could not allocate memory for the disk cache then it will also take time to read as well for write too over the HDD. The same is supported in many windows OS like the windows 7 OS too. The steps for the solutions are as follows:

• First uninstall the pro tool 10 from the systems
• Next choose for the Avid HD , pro tools, databases and click for next
• Now finish the uninstalling of the pro tool
• Next disable the antivirus software and run the same
• Next again reinstall the pro tool and it’s done successfully.
