You will need a developer certificate installed on your device. Do you have one? And did you use it to sign the app? http://www.nokiausers.net/forum/third-party-software/10260-symbian-signed-registration.html

You not then you will be only able to build and install unsigned apps.

Also try this:- Open Application Manager, Select Options, Settings, Make sure that the Software installation settings is set to "All" and then try.

In case if the above trick doesn't work then try installing the R&D Certificate from Symbian Signed. You can download it from the link given- (http://www.nokiausers.net/forum/third-party-software/10260-symbian-signed-registration.html). Download it and you're done.

If you are using one of the extended capabilities then you won't be able to use self-signed certificate. You have to request developer's certificate from Symbian.

One more thing to check, If you open Application Manager. Select Options | Settings. Make sure that Software installation setting is set to "All". If you have "Signed only", you won't be able to install self-signed application.

You can get R&D Certificate from Symbian Signed (http://www.nokiausers.net/forum/third-party-software/10260-symbian-signed-registration.html.
