My new Desktop has severe lag connecting to server

Both my Laptop and desktop are using the same ISP and modem/router. The laptop connects to the server without problems. However, the desktop has failed to connect. Running a ping and tracert showed there was a serious lag in the desktop connection. The tracert was done at the same time for both machines and the laptop connected but the desktop connection was timed out.

The desktop is new and only has Windows 7 64-bit, hardware drivers and a third party software which I am trying to connect with. I addition, It is using a realtek ethernet controllerand Asus M5A87 motherboard. The desktop connects with other servers, the internet and third party website. I uninstalled the network drivers and then reinstalled them as an attempt to deal with the problem.

This did not help. My question is this: why does the desktop that contains almost nothing installed in it fail to connect while the laptop has no problem connecting? I do not have any antivirus or firewall installed. Further, my service provider is not connected to my ISP since my ISP is located in another country. There is no direct link between my ISP and the third party I try to connect to. This situation has really worried me and I need someone to assist me. Will you be the one?

Hello friend.

Your Laptop and PC connection will need to sync. Rather you should share any data or file from one to another. it contains router sync also. Then configuration on your laptop system must default but PC have not yet. it should change default.

For your desktop setting: Go to start menu then control panel, Network and connection.

Select home connection or sync with router.

if it does not work, it will need authorized application for performing. From your Motherboard Disk select network management profile. or network wizard. that will contain browsing through your refer.

Then ISP will support and you may get solve.

Thanks.
