We assure that every step is being followed in migrating mailboxes to the new Exchange Server when migrating new domains. Aside from that, we also have migrated the users while their SIDS is being preserved. Is there anything that we should keep an eye on or some things that we should remember to prevent problems from ensuing?

Hello Wilsin Knight,

Yes, for sure there are some things that you will need to note before you move the mailboxes to the new destination. You should ensure that you have cleaned up the exchange server database and verified that the integrity constraints. You will do that by doing the following.

You will need to ask the users to remove any mails that are not useful from their mailboxes both the received and sent mails. You will also need to archive any older mails that you need to keep to a .pst file, and also remove personal documents from users’ folders which are not useful at the moment or the time to come.

Also remember to make a backup copy of the database.

Hope this helps.
