Unable to connect via Intranet using DLink DSL 2640B Router

Why is it that I could not connect via the Intranet (that is, I can’t connect to another IP address from APC within the same LAN) while using my DLink DSL-2640B router? Take for example, activating SwiFTP server on my Android phone entails that I need to use 192.168. 1.50 and port 2121 with an FTP-client, but it doesn’t work.

Using an Intranet type of connection, mostly used by companies, various schools, buildings use or businesses to let them access network used for specific purposes, business needs.

This Intranet will let them use the tool created to interconnect computers with-in the network, allowing them to access the software and tools not accessible outside the network.

This is mostly being done by I.T. Professionals contracted to build the hardware and software technology to use to run the business. You need to study how their system works, IP-Address used and other application needed to run the business by the use of the Intranet.

You need the following IP Address of the client:

IP Address 192.168.a.b # where 1 > a < 254
Broadcast 192.168.a.255
Network 192.168.x.0
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

You need to know the domain use for intranet to communicate properly with-in the network, you can choose your ISP's domain or the company itself, DNS and the DHCP address provided by your ISP.
