I am fed up of trying to solve this error windows update error code 80072efe. Also, I made a search on Google for its fixes, but in vain. Can someone explain the solution to this irritating problem?

I understand how annoying this error can be when unsolved. I had exactly same error, and here’s the solution I found for mine. Just follow these steps mentioned below:
1) Click on this link and download the file:
https://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.exe.
2) Then, run the file and perform the installation steps.
3) Next, reboot your computer.
4) Now, check for the updates again.
You can resolve the problem after following all these steps.
Note. It will also fix the issue in windows defender update.
