Keystrokes are not working in ASUS Laptop using Linux

I am using ASUS X55 Laptop with Linux as its main OS. From last few days I have to face major issues in my laptop.

1. I am not able to play videos in it as they are not loading and if its loading then there is no voice.

2, Some of my Laptop keywords are not being typed, it could be the case of missing keystrokes or anything I am not sure.

Can someone provide me solutions to my issues.

Hello Jonathan

There are two solution to your problem of inability to play files.

Solution 1 Install various players and see if the behavior is same or different on all the players. Different players handle the videos differently.

Solution 2, Install codecs from here.

Probably it is a codec issue, since you have not mentioned file extensions, much cannot be elaborated here.

Lastly, the problem of certain keys not functioning, it could be a hardware problem. If you had a software issue, all words would appear or none.
