Hi, let me explain the procedure to install Windows 2012 Hyper-V server. Hyper-V in Windows Server provides a virtualization server environment where you can create and manage VM, it also helps to run multiple operating systems on one physical system, isolating each other. So, now let’s see how this feature is being installed using the Server Manager.
- In Server Manager, on the Manage menu, click “Add Roles and Features”.
- Before you begin page, click “Next”. Now “on the Select installation type” page, select “Role-based or feature-based installation” and then click “Next”. Click a server from the pool and in the Select destination page, clicks “Next”.
- On the Select server roles page, select Hyper-V. To add the tools needed for creating and managing VM, click “Add Features” then click
- Next”. Then in the other three consecutive pages, select the appropriate options.
- At last, on the Confirm installation selections page, select “Restart the destination server automatically (if required)” and then click “Finish”.
- After installation, open All Servers page in Server Manager, select the server in which you installed Hyper-V. Also, check the “Roles and Feature” page for the selected server.
