Install kiwi linux to a flash drive
Hello Wayne,
It is absolutely possible to install Kiwi Linux to a flash drive from Windows. You will require the following –
-
PC with Windows installed in it.
-
ISO image for Kiwi, it can be downloaded from Kiwi Linux website.
-
A utility like Universal USB Installer, which is essentially a tool that allows choosing from a set of Linux distributions to be put on a pen drive.
-
A FAT32 formatted USB pen drive (Universal USB Installer can format the USB) with at least 2 GB of free space.
These steps when followed should help install Kiwi Linux in a flash drive –
-
Start Universal USB Installer, and select Kiwi.
-
Start the process by clicking create.
-
Once the process has finished, restart your PC, set your boot options in BIOS to boot from the USB device, save changes and reboot.
-
If everything is fine, then you should be able to boot into Kiwi.

Hope these steps help you.
