IDM Error: Cannot Resume Downloading the File

It’s cannot resume downloading the file while I want to resume a file. I’m still using update version of Internet download manager. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Error:

CSS Website Design Tutorial – 1 Introduction to CSS. mp4       
       
Cannot resume downloading the file:       
CSS Website Design Tutorial – 1 Introduction to CSS. mp4       
It's possible that the address of the file is not valid anymore or your session has       
expired.       
       
IDM will open a web page in your browser where it captured this download.       
Please start the download of the same file from your browser again, and IDM will       
try to capture a new address or new session data to resume this download

Hi , 

I think you are having trouble with Resuming a file downloaded in the Internet download manager (IDM) .

You must know that some sites for their security wont allow parallel downloads and resuming feature.

Sites like Rapidshare , hotfile ,Mediashare etc for REGULAR downloads they remove all These features . So once you pause download in the Internet download manager or any other download clients.

What you have to be careful is that to check the resume capacity is active in both IDM and the website from which you are downloading.

If you use the DAP ( download accelerator plus) then there they will show alternate download links for downloading it.

But still i recommend IDM personally.

Hey Nur Islam!

I also use Internet Download Manager to download my files. But sometimes I also face the same message. There are two causes of this error.

First reason is that the link from where you are trying to download is expired. The file is no longer on that link. To overcome this problem you can download the file from any other link. Search for the file on internet and use other link to download.

Second reason is "Resume Capability".

When you download any file with Internet Download Manager, there you can see "Resume Capability" of the file. If its status is No then you will face this error if you pause the download.

Let the download complete, do not pause the file.

IDM Error: Cannot Resume Downloading the File

The “resume” function in Internet Download Manager works only on websites where it is supported. If a website or a download service does not support resume then pausing and resuming will not work. Also, even if a website supports pausing and resuming of downloads, you cannot pause for a long time. Normally, a download will only be given several minutes or hours to resume the download.

If the session expires, you have to download the file all over again. If you encountered a problem and the download cannot resume after pausing it, try downloading the file again using the web browser so Internet Download Manager can capture the file and continue downloading it.

On the other hand, if the file is too big to restart, try checking how to resume a download in this post: Mediafire downloads do not resume in Internet Download Manager. This should give you an idea how to force a file to resume.
