We know websites store cookies on our internet browsers. Cookies store text files on there. I am a bit anxious about cookies if those contain some cheat codes that may steal my username, password and other personal information.
I am feeling the necessity of scanner cookies. Some suspicious may be still remain though we clear cache and cookies. Those are my thinking. What do you think about it?
I need scanner cookies and comment about its uses
Hello Jeremy Jack,
Â
There are several software that can help you scan your PC for the tracking cookies.
Â
Most of the antivirus software have scanners included and I would strongly suggest you to install the one if you haven't already. Not only because of cookies, but because of overall security.
Â
There are also some other type of tools that can help you. Those are not classic antivirus programs but are specialized in finding anything bad that's going on your computer and repairing it.
Â
My first suggestion would be the tool called CCleaner. It has a lovely option to scan only for cookies so you don't have to go through the process of scanning all the files if you don't want to.
Â
Another software I would recommend is SuperAntiSpyware. It is a bit different than a CCleaner, but will give you the list of cookies to be removed after a quick scan is done.
Â
Note that neither CCleaner or SuperAntiSpyware will protect your computer from malicious files so even if you decide to use them having the regular antivirus software is recommended.
