I got the error message “Error 1721

I opened my Control Panel and selected “Add or Remove Programs.

I haven’t even picked a program to uninstall when I got the error message

Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run.

Contact your support personnel or package vendor. How can I uninstall something if the program meant to do it is not installed?

If this is any help, I’m using a PC running in Microsoft Windows XP.

I got the error message “Error 1721

Hi,

First of all, log on to your computer as administrator. Check and restart the service items related to Windows Installer. Enable the option 'Automatic' and click Apply and OK.

Restart your computer and check again 1721 again.

If you get the error message again, go to the link below and scroll down. You will find software. Download, run and fix your problem by following screen instruction from the software.

I got the error message “Error 1721

Hi,

You can use Windows Installer Cleanup Tool for the said error. Installation information of the Programs used by Windows Installer may be removed using Windows Installer Cleanup Tool. However, it will not affect on your current program of your XP. It will not get your installed software uninstalled or corrupted.

It will only remove that Installation information of the Programs used by Windows Installer and make your XP capable to add new program, remove existing program, upgrade existing program. You can get the Windows Installer Cleanup Tool from the URL:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/290301. You should take extra care while cleanup installation information of your pc.

I got the error message “Error 1721

This error occur for something wrong with the installer package of the Windows. Your drivers are corrupted and need to download fresh one. To get more information visit this Techyv page and get a new technique to solve this problem.
