I got bug report error with Cinema 4D

My Cinema 4D has got an application error. While I am working with my Cinema 4D, this error message just suddenly appeared on the display screen. It is saying something about bug report.

The message keeps on popping up whenever I restart the program or the Cinema application. I tried to close it and open it again to see whether the message won’t appear again, but I still encountered the same error.

Please help.

Hi,

One of my friends faced the same problem, and after a long search and discussion with different forums he was able to resolve the issue.

I am listing the steps he had performed for this, and suggest that you also go through them:

Go to Cinema 4d.exe properties, (this is the program icon on the desktop, Right click on it and select properties)

Click on compatibility, and change it to 256 colors.

You will receive a message that “this is a 32 bit version)

Now Go to Edit, preferences-and perform all the updates needed.

Click finish

You can also check these steps in a video uploaded on the following link:

I think it’s a compatibility issue. Maybe one or more components in your computer are not supported or probably need an upgrade. But first since you already tried restarting the application again and again, you haven’t tried reinstalling it yet. Uninstall it first and then restart your computer. After booting, go to “C:Program Files” and then delete CINEMA 4D’s folder if the folder is still there.

But if the folder was already removed then proceed on installing it again. After the installation try opening it again to see if there’s a change. If there’s no change in the error, you may need to check if the program is compatible with your system. Check the succeeding information to see if your computer is compatible to run it.

CINEMA 4D R14 supports Windows Server 2003 both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, Windows Server 2008 both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, Windows XP [Professional, Home] Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 32-bit, Windows XP Professional 64-bit, Windows Vista both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, Windows 7 both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, and Windows 8 both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

For Mac OS X users, it requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 and up. Technically, it doesn’t require a very fast processor and you can even use a Pentium 4 processor with it. The application requires that your video card supports OpenGL 2.1. So to better assess the problem check your video card if it supports OpenGL 2.1 because if not then this is what’s causing the problem.
