HP PSC1315 Software Installation Error

Hello everyone,

I am using Windows Vista Ultimate and am encountering a problem when installing the software for my all-in-one HP PSC1315. The error title is

System Requirements Results and further says that “this software cannot be installed using the Run as command.” I have attached a snapshot of this error.

Can somebody help me resolve this issue?

What should I do meet the minimum requirements?

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

This system does not meet one or more of the minimum requirements needed to install this product. The installation cannot continue.

Run This software card be installed using the ‘Run as…’ a command. The installation cannot continue until this is

Required Action: Click Cancel to exit the software installation.

Log off and then log on as a user with administrator privileges. Contact your system administrator for more information) If there is no system administrator. have the primary user of this computer install the software. Restart the installation by

HP PSC1315 Software Installation Error

Hello,

This error message usually occurs when you are not logged-in as administrator. Please follow the steps given below to learn how to log-in as administrator.

1. Restart the system.
2. BEFORE windows load press F8 continuously until a selection screen appears.
3. Select safe mode.
4. Select ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT.  (NOTE:Not your name or your account log-in.)
5. Install printer driver.
6. Restart the computer.

Your driver is installed.

I hope this would be the solution to your problem.

HP PSC1315 Software Installation Error

Hi Flashmob,

If you have an internet connected to your computer, go to HP site and download your printer driver. Remove your installation cd and go online.

For HP PSC 1315 All-in-One printer, open this site HP link  Then select your operating system.

After that, click on the “Driver Product Installation Software” and follow the instruction. You can also check the updates and utility diagnostic tools available for this type of printer.

After the installation is finished, plug in your printer and it should work correctly.

HP PSC1315 Software Installation Error

I think you are installing your printer’s software using a standard account. Because you are installing a driver for a particular hardware, this will require an administrator account or a user account with administrative privileges. Setup will not allow you to use the “Run as administrator” option.

This option in Microsoft Windows is frequently used to elevate a process like when you need to run a command in an elevated command prompt. But before you can use this, you must be already using an administrator account. It will not work on standard, non-admin user accounts. To install the driver for your printer properly, log in using an administrator account.

If you don’t have an administrator account, ask someone with an administrator account to install the driver for you. To download the driver again, head down to HP PSC 1315 All-in-One Printer and select your correct operating system from the list.
