I recently came across a whole group of files that have an extension I have never seen before. These are all emz files. When I tried to open them, I failed. I do not know how to view emz file. Can someone help?
An emz file is basically a compressed image file and I formally called a Windows Compressed Enhanced Metafile file. These are nothing but GZIP compressed EMF files used by programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint.
One of the easiest ways to view an emz file is to open it as an image in one of the Office programs. Do this by going to insert->image. Another way is to install third-party software that has the capability to open the emz files. It is also possible to convert emz files to image file formats such as JPEG, PNG, etc.
